SMS Gateway

The SMS Gateway is used for receiving and sending SMS
messages from and to mobile phones. The SMS gateway is
installed on our servers and fully integrated to the
shopServer application.
The SMS Gateway can be used for many different purposes:

Making instant information requests into shopServer
from a cell phone with immediate SMS feedback.

Sending out order confirmations, sales promotions, reminders
and other relevant messages triggered by an event in
shopServer.

Monitoring incoming orders
and other events in the webshop.
How does it work:
The SMS Gateway is connected directly to the GSM network
via a GSM modem with an ordinary SIM card, thus working
as the interface between shopServer and the GSM Network.
Data exchange between shopServer and the SMS Gateway is
carried out using standard XML format.
SMS messages can be send to multiple mobile phones at
the same time.
All you need to do is to provide us with a SIM
card for the GSM modem. Which telecommunication company
you choose is completely up to you.
This way you have complete control over your SMS
communication.
