Integration

Provider: shopServer International

The shopServer integration module is a generic tool for integrating shopServer to back-office systems like ERP or CRM. The module converts any data format to and from the XML standard used by shopServer, securing seamless integration and data consistency.

Advantages of integration:

  • Integration to any Back-Office system
  • Improvement of customer service
  • No lost orders in case of line or system failure
  • Elimination of errors caused by manual data processing
  • Overall reduction of costs

How does it work:
The integration module is based on e-mails being sent back and forth between shopServer and the Back-Office system. A number of dedicated services monitor ingoing and outgoing e-mails, reformatting the data files included into any format required.

From the back-office system to shopServer:
The back-office system is set-up to place a file containing the necessary data in a predefined folder on the server where the Back-Office system resides. When spotted by the monitoring service, it is reformatted to XML and sent to shopServer via an SMTP server.

From shopServer to the back-office system:
Similarly, shopServer sends e-mails with an XML file to a POP3 server, where another monitoring service retrieves the file, converts it into the format expected by the Back-Office system and places it in another dedicated folder, from where it is imported.

The shopServer Integration module is not just a piece of software transferring data betweens systems. It's a dynamic and configurable tool for optimizing the complete data exchange process, offering:
