shopServer International was officially established February 1st 2003.
Prior to this the shopServer activities were a part of DIR A/S and the history of the shopServer product itself originates back to 1997, officially introduced to market in 1998 as one of the first hosted, high-end e-commerce solutions.

shopServer has been re-structered twice since 2003 and is now a filial of shopServer Ltd. in England.

shopServer is now a days only available in the Enterprise Edition, which is sold through a network of Distributors, Business Application Partners and Solution Providers and are currently in use by customers in Denmark and England,
